Course
For 2012 (just like 2009) we haven’t chosen for a quick course, but for a special one. The course will show you lots of interesting places in Amersfoort. As a participant you will run through buildings and locations which aren’t accessible to runners normally. Only in 2015 there will be a 21 and 42 km run. In 2013 and 2014 we organize a 5 km and 10 km Amersfoort CityRun only.
In 2009 for example, the course ran through the depot of the fire department, along the elephants in Amersfoort Zoo, through an old working place of the Dutch Railways, through the hall of Station Amersfoort and over the military area the ‘Vlasakkers’. For an impression follow this youtube link.
In 2012 you can expect a similar course for the 21 km and the 42 km run. Start and finish in 2012 will be at ‘het nieuwe Eemplein’ at ‘de Koppel’, next to the ‘HU-Hogeschool’.
HU Hogeschool Amersfoort
Participation is only possible by pre-registration
The registration will be closed when the limit of 10,000 registrations is reached. You can collect bib (start) number (Race-Timer with a chip sealed in it) at the day of the race at the help desk in the HU Amersfoort Hogeschool, at approx 50 meters from the finish location. You will receive a unique medal at the finish.

Contests and recreational run
The distances 21.1 km and 42.2 km are races covered by the regulations of the KNAU. The 1 km (only children from 4 till 12 years), 5 km and 10 km run are recreational runs.
All distances from 5 to 42 km can be participated as recreation. Participants of both KNAU races (21 and 42 km) are classified into a race category based on gender and age on the day of the event.
